DUNLAP - Kurt Roy Ringenberg, 39, of Dunlap passed away at 1:12 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 25, 2012, in Peoria, Ill. He was born July 26, 1973, in Peoria, Ill., a son of Carl W. and Dorcas J. (Steiner) Ringenberg of Chillicothe, Ill. They survive. Also surviving are one daughter, Lauren R. Ringenberg of Dunlap; one son, Kurt Tyler Ringenberg of Marquette Heights; two brothers, Jeffery C. Ringenberg of Princeville and Joey L. Ringenberg of Dunlap; one niece, Jessica Ringenberg of Peoria; two nephews, Jacob Ringenberg of Princeville and Austin Ringenberg of Chillicothe; aunts and uncles, Lyle (and Chere) Steiner of Milan, Karen Ringenberg and Ron (and Nancy) Ringenberg, both of Peoria, Sally Ringenberg of Plymouth, and Alan (and Jill) Ringenberg and Jane (and Mike) Hovey, both of Prophetstown; one great-aunt, Alberta Hudson of Moline; many cousins; and so many dear friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Galeard and Mary Steiner and Walter and Elizabeth Ringenberg; two uncles, Don and Bob Ringenberg; and one aunt, May Apple. Kurt graduated from Peoria High School. He was a carpenter at Rain Guard, working for Steve and Debbie Belfield. He always said it was the best job he ever had. He worked every day since he was 15 and loved life to the best of his ability. He never said goodbye without saying he loved you. After all, we might not see each other again on this earth. He lived his life with love and joy and never met a stranger. Always there with a helping hand! He left our lives doing what he loved best (riding his Harley). Don't worry about Kane; we will always be there for him, too. Cremation will be accorded, and a celebration of his life will be held at the American Legion Hall Post 1078 in Dunlap on Saturday, Nov. 3, 2012, starting at 2 p.m. Schmidt-Haller Burial and Cremation Services is in charge of arrangements. LACON - Alice M. Duden, 94, of rural Lacon died at 11:05 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2004, at Heritage Manor in Chillicothe. Born March 31, 1909, in Vernon to George and Nancy Muir Rouse, she married Jake Duden on April 4, 1929, in Minonk. He died Feb. 2, 1998. She also was preceded in death by a niece who she raised, Ginny Landers; one brother; and one sister. Surviving are one nephew, C. Ralph Landers of Peoria; and one niece, Doris Shannon of Heyworth. She was a dynamometer tester at Caterpillar Inc. in East Peoria for 26 years, retiring in 1972. She was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church in Chillicothe. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at her church. The Rev. Steven Mall will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Lenz Memorial Home in Lacon. Burial will be in Chillicothe City Cemetery. Memorials may be made to her church. |
