Rosina Paternoster Quilt
From Sandi Burrier: I am guessing the quilt was made in the 1960's. My mom, Lois Stetzler, had 4 quilts made by Rosina. My mom gave me this quilt several years ago. Most of grandma's quilts were made at her last smaller home that was at the corner of Glen and Wick Streets in Morton. There was usually a quilt and quilt frame set up in her living room. Grandma did most of the work by herself but she had a relative and friend, Pauline Hohstadt, who cam and helped her with the work.
To our knowledge, none of Grandma's 5 daughters or 3 daughter in laws were involved in quilt making. Several of grandma's granddaughters do quilt. One of Grandma's granddaughters, Janet Stetzler, was an accomplished quilter and on of her beautiful quilts adorned her casket.
