- Funeral services for Eileen Nohl of Morris, MN will be held Thursday, December 16, 2010 at 10:00 AM at the Apostolic Christian Church, rural Morris. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 4 to 8 PM at the Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris, MN and for one hour prior to services at the church on Thursday. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Eileen Faye Hunt, daughter of Gilbert and Evelyn (Miller) Hunt, was born September 4, 1943 in Paynesville, Minnesota. She grew up in the Morris area and graduated from Morris Public Schools. On September 7, 1963, she was united in marriage to David Howard Nohl at Henry Nohl's Home in Hancock, Minnesota. Eileen was baptized into the Apostolic Christian Faith on August 5, 1979. Following their marriage, the couple lived in Hancock, where they raised their children. For 20 years, Dave and Eileen owned and operated the Morris Locker and later added on the Morris Meat Center. Eileen retired in 1994 and became caregiver to her mother-in-law and father-in-law. In 1995, Dave and Eileen moved to Morris and in January, 2008, they moved to an apartment at Paul and Shawn Schmidgalls, where they have continued to live since that time.
Eileen was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church in Morris, Minnesota. She enjoyed baking (especially chocolate chip cookies and Suzie Q's), crocheting, puzzles, rocking babies and caring for her grandchildren. She especially enjoyed the time she spent with her family and friends.
Eileen died on Sunday, December 12, 2010 at the Courage Cottage in Morris, MN, having lived to reach the age of 67 years.
She is survived by her husband: David Nohl of Morris; four children: Dawn (Doug) Moser of Morris, Shawn (Paul) Schmidgall of Morris, Michelle (Chris) Koehl of Hancock and Jody (Trevor) Schmidgall of Morris; special nephew: Terry (Peggy) Nohl of Hancock; 20 grandchildren: Brandon Moser, Preston Moser, Amanda Moser, Emily Moser, Anna (Levi) Koehl, Larissa Schmidgall, Melinda Schmidgall, Shayla Schmidgall, Olivia Koehl, Kaitlin Koehl, Anthony Koehl, Candice Koehl, Grant Koehl, Luke Schmidgall, Tory Schmidgall, Tiffany Schmidgall, Joshua (Cassi) Nohl, Jake Nohl, Travis Nohl and Lexi Nohl; 2 great-grandchildren: Brynn and Parker Nohl; four sisters: Gladys Scheelk of Kansas City, MO, Darlene Lueck of Shawnee, KS, Janae (Jerry) Ehlen of Evansville and Audrey (Jerry) Cline of Alexandria; one brother: Wayne Hunt of Choctaw, OK; sisters-in-law: Bev Hunt and Lucille (Harlan) Stueber; brother-in-law: Lloyd (Joyce) Nohl and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother: Melvin Hunt; three brothers-in-law: Orville Scheelk, Lowell Lueck and Terry Schott and one sister-in-law: Rose Schott.
Pallbearers for the service are: Max Burnham, Levi Koehl, Brandon Moser, Preston Moser, Anthony Koehl and Travis Nohl. Music will be provided by the Apostolic Christian Church Choir.
Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris is in charge of the arrangements.
