  	Margie Catherine Shadoan, 83, of 400 Minch St. passed away at 9:17 a.m. Tuesday, April 6, 2010, at Hallmark House Nursing Center in Pekin. Born Dec. 24, 1926, in Carlock to Henry and Zilla (McClure) Waller, she married Vernal Shadoan on May 19, 1943, in Normal. She was preceded in death by her husband on Feb. 6, 2000; and an infant daughter, Frances Irene Shadoan. Surviving are one daughter, Frances (Bob) Bruns of Berea, Ky.; one son, Howard (Judy) Shadoan of South Pekin; 10 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Doris (Bill) Werry of Bloomington. Margie last worked as a cook at South Pekin Grade School. Previously, she had worked as a cook at the Dutch Grill in South Pekin and as a waitress at the Rexall Drug Store in Normal. She enjoyed embroidery and vegetable and flower gardening. Her funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. The Rev. Dowice Ashley will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in East White Oak Union Cemetery in rural Carlock.
