      The funeral of Sophie Elsaser was held Monday afternoon, March 27th at 1:30 at the home and at the A.C. church at 2 PM with burial in church cemetery.

      Mrs. E. passed away at 9:15 PM last Friday (March 25) after an illness of several weeks. She had been bedfast,m however, for only one week.

      She was born in Sachsenflur, Baden Germany Feb. 23, 1854 and came to this country in 1874. She married Fred Elsaser in 1859 in New York. They lived in Casterland, New York for 11 years before coming to Morton. Mr. E. preceded her in death 7 years ago in Nov. (1 Nov 1925). Surviving her are one nephew, Albert Stetzler and one niece, Mrs. Hannah Hohstadt of Sachsenflur, Baden.
