  	Charles F. Jones, 87, of Oliver Springs, died Thursday, July 4, 2002, at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge. Born Jan. 7, 1915, in Oliver Springs, he had been a lifelong resident of this area. Mr. Jones retired from Union Carbide Nuclear Division where he had worked as a machinist for 26 years. He was a member of New Mountain View Baptist Church in Oliver Springs. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Evelyn Aytes Jones; two daughters, Sue Capps and her husband, Jeff, of Oak Ridge, and Angela West and her husband, John, of Knoxville; two sons, Mack F. Jones and his wife, Darlene, of Midwest City, Okla., and John C. Jones of Oak Ridge; five grandchildren, Michael Killaly, Christopher Killaly and Kimberly Killaly, all of Pennsylvania, and Tracy Jones and Tammy Jones, both of Oklahoma; and five great-grandchildren. Mr. Jones is also survived by two brothers, John Paul Jones and his wife, Clara, and Robert E. Jones and his wife, Madge, all of Oliver Springs; a sister, Pauline Ford and her husband, Dean, of Oliver Springs; and by several nieces and nephews. Paulette Braden Hileman has been considered a daughter by the Joneses. Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his parents, Milton R. Jones and Maud Black Jones; a brother, Milton R. Jones Jr.; and by a sister-in-law, Frances Jones. The funeral was held Saturday, July 6, in the chapel of Sharp Funeral Home in Oliver Springs with the Rev. Joe Copeland officiating. A graveside service was conducted Sunday, July 7, at Anderson Memorial Gardens in Clinton.
