  	Diane C. Ackerman, 66, of Munith, Mich., formerly of Deer Creek, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2015, at her residence. She was born Oct. 25, 1949, in Peoria to Robert and Emma (Joos) Ackerman. Surviving are her daughter, Annette (Ben) Miller of Chelsea, Mich.; one son, Michael (Christina) Peterson of Clarksville, Tenn.; six grandchildren, Robert, Karlye and Hannah Miller and Katherine, Abigail and Lillian Peterson; two brothers, Roger (Margie) Ackerman of Morton and Donald (Wanda) Ackerman of Deer Creek; and two sisters, Roberta (Tim) Beutel of Morton and Elaine (David) Barth of Blufton, Ind. She was a graduate of Dee-Mack High School, class of 1967, and the University of Illinois School of Nursing. Diane worked as an R.N. for more than 20 years at the University of Michigan Hospital. She worked in Pediatric Cardio Thoracic Intensive Care and last worked in Pain Management. A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2015, at Knapp-Johnson Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Morton, with Morton Apostolic Christian ministers officiating. Visitation will be from 10 until 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Morton Apostolic Christian Church Cemetery.
