- Washington - Neva Jean Kelley Waller, 72, of Washington, IL, formerly of Carlock, passed away at home after a 10-year struggle with dementia and was welcomed home by Jesus into heaven on Saturday, April 9, 2016.
She was born on December 21, 1943 in Peoria, IL a daughter of Joseph Vernon and Eleanor Klopfenstein Kelley. She married Samuel Anthony Waller on May 17, 1964 in Morton, IL. He survives.
Also surviving are her four children, Jeff (Pansy) Waller of San Angelo, TX; Jody (Tom) Bunton of Washington, IL; Daniel (Stacy) Waller of Eureka, IL; Natalie Waller of Bloomington, IL; one sister, Kay Alberts of Springfield, IL; one brother, John (Marcia) Kelley of Morton, IL; 15 grandchildren and one great granddaughter. She is also survived by many foster children whom she and her husband welcomed into their home over the years.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Neva graduated from Morton High School and worked as an office manager at Illinois State University. She loved the Lord and was an avid prayer warrior. She and her friend Yvonne Huber formed a musical group with their families, The Nevonne Melody Makers, which made two albums and traveled to numerous churches and camps singing about the Lord.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at Liberty Bible Church in Eureka. Rev. Ron Workman will officiate. Visitation will be held from 5-7 pm on Tuesday also at Liberty Bible Church and from 10:30 - 11:00 prior to the services Wednesday at the church. Burial will be in East White Oak Union Cemetery. Argo-Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in Eureka is assisting the family with arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to West Texas Gospel Ministries to Children or Spread Truth Ministries.
