- HUDSON — Stephen G. Waller, 51, of Hurst, Texas, died at 3 p.m. Tuesday (Aug. 24, 2010), in Austin, Texas.
His funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home, Bloomington, with the Rev. Bill Vandervoort officiating. Burial will be in Hudson Cemetery, Hudson. Visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Zach Waller education fund in care of Lyne Waller.
He was born July 28, 1959, in Portsmouth, Va., a son of William Waller and Lyne Douglass Waller. He married Alysen Quay on Aug. 1, 1998, in Hudson. She survives in Hurst, Texas.
Also surviving are his mother, Lyne Waller, Hudson; children, Kathryn Waller, Bloomington; and Zach Waller, Hurst, Texas; and siblings, Bill (Beth) Waller, Normal; Karen (Dan) Blevins, Bloomington; Randy (Amy) Waller, Eolia, Mo., and Jeff (Amy) Waller, Hudson.
He was preceded in death by his father.
He was a member of Hudson Christian Church and a U.S. Army veteran.
Stephen was vice president of Commit LLC Independent Remedy Consultants. He graduated from Normal Community High School in 1977 and attended Illinois State University.
Stephen loved his family, traveling, fly fishing and his motorcycle.
He was a loving husband, father, son and brother and will be deeply missed by all his family and friends
