- Donna Mae Lesher, 85, of Bloomington, passed away at 4:45 am Wednesday August 10, 2011 at Heartland Healthcare in Normal.
There will be a graveside service at 11 am Friday at Pennell Cemetery, Towanda. Rev. Doug Pavey will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of McLean County or a charity of the donors choice. Kibler Smith Memorial Home is in charge of arrangements.
She was born March 27, 1926 in LeRoy, Illinois. She is the daughter of Robert "Bruce" and Josephine (Epperson) LaMont. She married Vernon L. "Red" Roberts. She later married William "Bill" Anderson. In 1969, she married Everett E. Lesher.
Survivors include her four sons, Douglas (Jill) Roberts, Bloomington; Steven (fiancée Cindy Richter) Roberts, Clay, N.Y.; David (Sharon) Anderson, and Edward (Teresa) Anderson, both of Towanda. She is also survived by four grandsons; Trent, Troy and Travis Roberts and Jerry (Lynn Fetherston) Anderson, three granddaughters; Kristie Kowall, Kelly (Dan) Lloyd and Ashleigh Roberts and many great-grandchildren, step-grandchildren including Tim (Marcy) Montoya and their children, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Everett, two sisters, two brothers, one grandson, Will Anderson.
Mrs. Lesher worked at Saint Joseph Hospital in the snack bar and she also worked at Eureka Williams Co. for 13 years. Donna enjoyed cooking, spending time with her dogs and watching sports on television.
