- MORTON - Annabelle Stetzler, 92, of Morton died at 5:47 p.m. Sunday, April 24, 2011, at Apostolic Christian Restmor in Morton.
She was born Sept. 13, 1918, in Crandall, Ill., to Paul and Ruth (Crandall) Brecher. She married Manuel H. Stetzler on Dec. 19, 1938, in Peoria. He preceded her in death on April 24, 1990.
Surviving are one son, Kenneth (Carol) Stetzler of Morton; one daughter, Jeanne (Jacob) Plattner of Orinda, Calif.; five grandchildren, Rachael Weisgerber, Amanda Plattner, Karl Plattner, Erin Clark and Ryan Stetzler; and one brother, Robert (Doris) Brecher of Morton.
A homemaker, Annabelle attended Morton Apostolic Christian Church.
She served as a 4-H leader for 11 years and represented 4-H on the Tazewell County and Pekin park boards.
Cremation rites will be accorded. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 30, 2011, at Knapp-Johnson Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Morton, with an Apostolic Christian Church minister officiating. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial of the cremated remains will be in the Morton Apostolic Christian Church Cemetery.
