  	DANVERS - The funeral for Vernadine B. Thacker, 86, of 1925 S. Main St., Bloomington, formerly of Danvers, will be 3 p.m. Sunday at the Danvers Baptist Church. The Rev. Ronald D. Thacker will officiate. Burial will be in Park Lawn Cemetery, Danvers. Visitation will be 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday at the church. Otto-Argo-Froelich Memorial Home, Danvers, is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to the Danvers Baptist Church. Mrs. Thacker died at 10:37 p.m. Wednesday (July 4, 2001) at Scotchwood Health Care Center, Bloomington. She was born Dec. 10, 1914, at Funks Grove, a daughter of Tom and Eunice Bell Clark. She married Charles Austin Thacker on Oct. 24, 1931, at Carlock. He died Aug. 23, 1977. Survivors include a son, the Rev. Ronald D. (Rosalie) Thacker, Danvers; a brother, Victor Clark, of Florida; a sister, Alta (Frank) Simmons, Bloomington; 16 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and four stepgreat-grandchildren. Her parents; three sons, Leslie, Bobby and Ben Thacker; a daughter, Carol Streenz; six brothers; two sisters; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild preceded her in death. Mrs. Thacker was a member of the Danvers Baptist Church. She had worked as a janitress at Illinois State University at Normal for 24 years, retiring May 1, 1981.
