  	Shirley A. Joos, 95, of Elgin, formerly of Peoria passed away Saturday, October 7, 2023, at Highland Oaks, Elgin. She was born August 12, 1928, in Bureau, IL the daughter of Frank and Martha Hoffman Clary. She had been a resident of Peoria for most of her life and was employed at the Peoria County Court House for many years before retiring. She gave her life to Christ and was baptized on her 90th birthday. She was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church in Elgin. Surviving are her 3 children, Karen (Roger) Weiss of Hampshire, Steven Joos of Peoria, and Rodney Joos of Peoria, 7 grandchildren, Ryan (Becky) Weiss, Jamie (Lynwood) Schambach, Eric (Amanda) Weiss, Craig (Amy) Weiss, Alison (John) Sweet, Aron Joos and Mandy (Tony) Mowder, 20 great grandchildren and a brother-in-law Chirs (Diane) Joos. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Charles E. Joos, a sister, Eloise Van DeVelde and a brother, Marvin Clary.
